Soda Firing Workshop – Ages 16+ May 2 - June 6 Thursdays 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. Location: MAC Clay Annex and KSU Ceramics Studio Instructor: Justice Catron Cost: $250 Cost includes all glazes, firing, 25 lbs. of Stoneware or Porcelain clay for use in class, and free access to 1 clay open studio session/week while enrolled This class is a throwing based course that culminates in soda firing at the KSU ceramics studio. We will explore the effects of the firing process and how it impacts the forms we make. Students must have taken at least 1 prior throwing course at MAC or KSU. Due to the nature of this firing process, class times at the end of the session may not be precise. There is a high likelihood of class times changing as needed to accommodate the firing process. Scholarships are available for school-age students whose household income qualifies for the federal free and reduced lunch program. We also offer a Military Discount for MAC classes. Only one coupon may be used per registration. For more information or questions about adult scholarships, please contact MAC prior to registration. MAC has a non-refundable deposit on classes that are canceled by the participant before the start of class. If a class is canceled by MAC before it begins, the entire paid amount will be refunded.
