Lifeguard Exploration DayHave you ever wanted to be a lifeguard? Join us on Saturday and see if this career is for you!At Madras Aquatic Center & Recreation District (MACRD), we take lifeguarding seriously. Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all our patrons. That's why we have strict prerequisites for anyone who wishes to become a lifeguard at our facility. To start, all potential lifeguards must have a strong swimming ability and be confident in the water and have an interest in learning first aid and CPR. Our lifeguard training program is rigorous and thorough. It includes both instruction and in-water skill practice. Lifeguard candidates will learn about water safety, rescue techniques, and emergency procedures. After completing the training program, candidates must pass a trial period where they will be evaluated by our experienced lifeguard staff. This ensures that each participant will receive the best instruction and overall experience. We are committed to providing a positive and rewarding experience for all those interested in lifeguarding and help them achieve their goals in becoming a professional lifeguard. Register now!
• Refunds will be assessed a 6% processing fee to cover ActiveNet charges. If the refund is credited to a patron’s account, the processing fee will be waived.
• A 100% refund will be issued if a patron is withdrawn from an activity at least 10 business days prior to the date registration closes.
• A 50% refund will be issued if a patron is withdrawn from an activity at least 5 business days prior to the date registration closes.
• No refund will be issued if a patron is withdrawn from an activity after registration closes.
• Activity fees will not be refunded or pro-rated for patrons who miss a portion of an activity or program.
