Use coupon code MBEAT250 when registering.)MB-EAT is an in-person 10-week training where you will learn how to:• eat mindfully• practice mindfulness meditation• recognize the body's feedback systems of taste, hunger and fullness• choose foods wisely for satisfaction and healthMindfulness can help bring balance into every aspect of how we eat. It involves cultivating a combination of “inner wisdom” (awareness of how our body and mind are responding), and “outer wisdom” (engaging nutrition information and recommendations to meet your own personal needs and preferences).
MB-EAT is designed for those looking to improve their relationship with food, lose weight, maintain weight loss, as well as for those who struggle with compulsive or binge eating.
The MB-EAT curriculum was developed by Dr. Jean Kristeller, Professor Emeritus in Psychology at Indiana State University, and cofounder of The Center for Mindful Eating.
MB-EAT instructor, Lorilee Hamann, PhD, is an integrative health coach who has been in private practice at Harmonic Health Coaching since 2016. Prior to that, Lorilee was a middle school teacher for 40 years.
UW Health has updated the mask policy for the season. Masks are required in all UW Health buildings. *All meetings will follow CDC and UW Health COVID-19 protocols and policies that are in effect at the time of the class session.
