Make your own menagerie! This class will utilize simple and complex handbuilding techniques to create an animal form. By combining hands-on demonstrations and shared discussions, students will develop both the technical skills, as well as their own process for starting a new piece. Students are encouraged to thoughtfully gather references to then explore both real and imagined forms. Learn pinching and coiling, how to hollow out a solid shape, surface design and texture, and experimentation with glaze. All levels welcome, but ideal for those with some sculptural experience.
