About this event
This class will lead early elementary students in how to build art-making confidence by developing foundational drawing and painting skills. Weekly lessons will cover elements of art and design (line, shape, color, composition) through still life, landscape, and portrait approaches. Students will experiment with techniques in pencil, oil pastel, watercolor, acrylic painting, and more, including opportunities to taken inspiration from museum artwork. With an emphasis on fun and creativity, projects allow students to build and practice skills, while also gaining confidence in their work. Ideal for beginners, with all experience levels welcome!
