About this event
Drawing is considered to be the foundation of all artistic practice, with line work essential to effectively capturing what we see in front of us. Through drawing techniques like cross-hatching, students will build up foundational skills and gain confidence in how they approach the process of drawing throughout the semester. This class will introduce both the approaches of artists throughout history, as well as fun, gesture-based warm-ups as a foundation. Then, students will develop their observation skills by working with set still-lifes, occasionally utilizing red chalk, dry brush techniques, and more.
