Description

The many benefits of bringing mindfulness into our daily lives are increasingly being recognized, with research supporting what so many people already know. Practicing mindfulness enables us to be truly awake in our own lives. When we become more present and aware we reduce our reactivity and increase our ability to respond wisely. We enhance our attention and connection in our relationships. We can offer ourselves and others lovingkindness and compassion. We reduce stress. With mindfulness, we learn to hold life, with all the joys, sorrows, challenges, and celebrations, with kind awareness.
In these six-weekly 60-minute classes, participants will be guided in mindfulness practices and meditations and will be shown how to incorporate mindfulness into their daily lives. Through various exercises and reflections, participants will leave with a good foundation to begin or further their mindfulness and meditation practice. This program is suitable for beginners as well as those seeking a refresher.
Supplies needed: Yoga mat
