Description
Help beautify and maintain our amazing local park system! Spend Wednesday volunteering and taking an afternoon swim. Explore and relax close to home with a standup paddle board tour at George Rogers Park to end camp.
LO TEEN SERVICE CORPS a 3-day commitment featuring two days of community service and an adventure on the third day. Volunteer hours can be used towards graduation requirements, and each teen receives an LO Teen Service Corps shirt. An information packet is sent with any waivers/permission slips needed, as well as service and field trip details.
Each week provides 10 or more hours of community service
Bring a sack lunch, water bottle and sunscreen daily.
Participants are welcome to bring money for snacks or other items on field trip days.
Camp is held at the LO Teen Lounge @ CCP, 1060 Chandler Rd.
Full camp details will be mailed and emailed to you prior to the start of camp.
Participation Requirements: In order to successfully and safety participate in this activity, participants should have the ability to perform physical tasks like weeding, ivy pulling or lifting and using tools required to complete volunteer tasks. Participants should also have the ability to swim and paddle watercrafts like kayaks or canoes with limited or no assistance.
