Class participants will learn the craft of playwriting for the stage and for radio theatre. This hands-on class will include discussions of plot, suspense, character development, stagecraft, and elements of effective storytelling. The instructor is an experienced playwright with plays that have been produced at The Foolkiller Theater, Unicorn Theater, Penn Valley Community College, Just Off Broadway, and five shows at the annual KC Fringe Theatre Festival. Selected short comedy sketches by class participants will have the option to be featured on KKFI 90.1 FM’s comedy radio theatre SHOTS IN THE NIGHT. For the more ambitious, we will discuss options for self-producing your stage playwriting projects.
