About this event
Film Noir ("Black Cinema") remains the only true organic artistic movement in American film. Stretching from 1941-1958 and defined by French critics in the years immediately following World War II, we will examine this fatalistic style of the crime genre by screening and discussing five seminal works while analyzing the historical context of the movement and the storytelling structures of the form.
