Miami Retains No.1 Ranking

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Miami University, which twice defeated Western Michigan University last weekend, retains the No. 1 ranking in this week's USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll. The RedHawks, who improved to 18-4-6 on the season, collected 506 points and 30 of 34 first-place votes.

The University of Denver (480, four first-place votes) moves up one spot to No. 2 after garnering a 2-0-0 record against then-No. 4 University of North Dakota, while the University of Wisconsin (436), which went 1-1-0 against then-No. 9 University of Minnesota Duluth, slides to No. 3. St. Cloud State University (381), which went 1-1-0 against then-No. 11 Colorado College, climbs one spot to No. 4, while Cornell University (358), which defeated St. Lawrence University and Clarkson University, moves up three positions to No. 5.

Highlighting this upcoming weekend's games is one top-15 match-up, with No. 15 University of Massachusetts hosting No. 14 Boston College on Friday (Feb. 5).
