Fig Newtons (1st -3rd) (Week 8: July 22-26) AM

Georgetown BCTC • 200 Technology Ct. GeorgetownKY  40324 Organized by Newton's Attic

About this event

At Fig Newtons, little campers experience big fun in the shop while learning about science and engineering. Our camp offers a unique opportunity for youngsters to spend quality time fabricating hands-on projects that not only teach important concepts but also foster creativity and problem-solving skills. From constructing toolboxes to crafting bat houses and derby cars, participants engage in a variety of exciting activities that challenge their minds and ignite their imaginations. Under the guidance of experienced instructors at Newton's Attic, campers not only learn practical skills but also delve into the fascinating world of Isaac Newton, the father of physics. Through interactive lessons, they explore Newton's laws and discover how they apply to the projects they're building, creating meaningful connections between theory and practice. With breaks provided to explore, decorate, and operate their creations, Fig Newtons promises a week filled with hands-on learning, exploration, and big fun for all participants! While the class is primarily aimed at 1st-3rd graders, older students are also welcome to join in on the excitement and share in the learning experience alongside their younger peers.
