About this event
SC CWP & The Concealed Lifestyle is a unique CWP class unlike any other CWP classes offered in the Columbia area. This class not only teaches the SLED required course and qualification exam, it prepares and guides the student for the concealed carry lifestyle. South Carolina law, firearm safety, conflict avoidance, situational awareness, shooting fundamentals, the concealed carry lifestyle, and more are covered. Upon completion, students are given a comprehensive resource packet to take home that summarizes the content of the class as well as a list of invaluable resources to aid in the concealed carry lifestyle. The packet also includes the completed application and instructions regarding how to process with SLED. Students are expected to have at least a fundamental level of proficiency in shooting and operating a pistol in order to pass the shooting portion of the SLED qualification. The student will NOT PASS if not proficient. This is not a shooting class. We offer our Beginners Pistol course for those that may need this training. Please check safefamilydefense.com/classes for our class offering. Students will be required to bring a pistol that they can operate independently, holster, ear and eye protection, and at least 25 rounds of ammunition. Gun rentals consisting of a pistol, holster, eyes, and ears are available to rent for $10 in class. Ammo in 9mm, .380, and .22LR is available to purchase in the class. Training will take place at the Mid-Carolina Rifle Club, 3435 Fish Hatchery Road, Gaston, SC 29053 This class starts at 8am and ends at 5:00pm +/- depending on class size. We cover a lot of material.
