8 x 75 minute classes In this class, students will begin with the fundamentals of painting. We will review the concepts of color, value, brush control, and perspective. Students will utilize these skills to complete detailed landscape paintings. We will learn about and practice painting different features of landscapes. By the end of the class, students will use the techniques learned to produce a landscape final project. Supplies needed for the Landscape Painting class Mixed Media Sketchbook, 11”x 14”, 1 pad, 20 sheets 1 Canvas, 14”x18”, preferred size Brushes, 12 flat, 6 filbert or flat, 1 round Paint Colors Required colors- Primary Red, Primary Yellow, Green Oxide, Primary Blue, Brown, White, Black Additional recommended colors - Phthalo Green, Phthalo Blue, Burnt Sienna, Purple/Violet , Pink/Magenta Minimum 22 ml, 60 ml recommended Pencil (HB, B, or 2B is fine) Eraser. White rectangular eraser. (Staedtler brand recommended) Ruler Paper plates or paint palette for mixing colors better performance
