Description
Spend the morning in a "Pie Dough Deep Dive!" Chef Carolyn Crow will demonstrate multiple techniques and tips for creating perfectly flakey and flavorful pie crusts before you dive in and bake your own hand pies. Recipes include Laminated Pie Dough, Marbleized Pie Dough, and Blueberry Hand Pies.
Chef Crow is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, she continued her studies of baking with Alice Waters and Mary Caneles at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California. She advanced her chocolate skills at the Valrhona École de Grand Chocolat in France. She loves using local ingredients and classic techniques.
This is an in-person hands-on class. Participants will work with the chef instructor in our kitchen to prepare the recipes listed in the class description. Everyone will then get to enjoy these recipes together.
No refunds will be granted for Let’s Cook@Casey programs. A one-time registration transfer is available to a Let’s Cook@Casey class of equal value if the exchange request is submitted in writing to LetsCook@gaithersburgmd.gov no less than 48 hours before the scheduled program time.
