Casey Community Center 810 S Frederick Ave Gaithersburg, MD 20877 Organized by GAITHERSBURG PARKS & RECREATION DEPTAbout this event
Description
We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Saturday, April 20, 2024.
Make delicious but healthier, gluten-free versions of Spiced Carrot Cake Loaf and decadent Chocolate Chip Cookies with Chef Jennifer Dominguez. The Spiced Carrot Cake Loaf is naturally sweetened with fresh carrots, apple sauce, and coconut sugar. Then coconut oil and almond flour make melt-in-your-mouth Chocolate Chip Cookies that are an incredible gluten-free, dairy-free, and a low-carb alternative to traditional chocolate chip cookies.
This class is taught by Chef Jennifer Dominguez, a holistic and culinary nutritionist who studied holistic nutrition at the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine and earned a culinary nutrition certificate from the Academy of Culinary Nutrition.
This is an in-person hands-on class. Participants will work with the chef instructor in our kitchen to prepare the recipes listed in the class description. Everyone will then get to enjoy these recipes together.
No refunds will be granted for Let’s Cook@Casey programs. A one-time registration transfer is available to a Let’s Cook@Casey class of equal value if the exchange request is submitted in writing to LetsCook@gaithersburgmd.gov no less than 48 hours before the scheduled program time.
