Fire up your creativity! All are welcome, regardless of skill or ability. Course study is project based and modified to individual skill and ability. Students will learn how to draw to develop their own personal style. Critical thinking and a variety of media are used to spark personal creativity. Exploration of artistic strategies, directed projects, and independent work will be used to build a safe environment for creative expression. Techniques to be demonstrated range from drawing and painting to mixed media and collage – even found object sculpture is possible. Courses emphasize projects that relate directly to student choice and age appropriate DUSD subject curricula.
