About this event
In the spring of each year, students in 3rd - 5th grade take important standardized summative assessments. These assessments help teachers, administrators, parents, and students know their strengths and areas that may need some improvement. These tests are taken on a computer so it is important for students to know how to navigate the testing platform. In this course, students will learn how to navigate the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) platform. They will learn the different tools that are available to them when taking the test and we will do some practice tests so they can get a feel for the testing platform. Additionally, students will learn the proper techniques for typing so that they can move away from pecking at the keys. Finally, students will learn how to properly set up a Google document for typing. In this class, we will focus on proper spacing before and after punctuation, double spacing, and useful hotkeys. This course will allow students to become quicker at typing which will allow them to produce written work at a faster pace
