Does your child love to write and put their unique ideas on paper? Or, does he/she struggle with writing and need a little extra help? Either way, this is the perfect class for them! Amador 2nd grade instructor, Ms Elizabeth Littlejohn LOVES to see returning and new students alike as writing is a process that improves with practice over time. In this ever-changing course your child will learn about character, plot and setting development and use their 5 senses to enhance and add detail to their story line before sharing their stories with their peers! Students will experiment with all of these techniques and challenge themselves to think outside of the box. Some of the activities include raffle stories, random picture stories, painted paper stories, shared stories, squiggle stories, seasonal stories, and many more! What better way to encourage your child to love writing than in this upbeat, fun class?! To make it even sweeter, we also learn about sharing our stories in a way that allows our readers/listeners to be engaged by using intonation and expression, AND how to give respectful feedback to help our peers make their writing even better! Note: Ms. Littlejohn’s class is open to returning students as the theme and emphasis of each writing course changes each session and new skills are learned in each session.
