This course builds upon the skills learned in the introductory and intermediary courses held in the two previous weeks. Attendance at either of the prior courses is not required to participate in this one. Focusing on more advanced techniques, the course covers topics such as preparing and staining microscope slides, utilizing a spectrophotometer, dissection techniques, and sterile technique for microbiology. Through hands-on experiments, students will gain practical experience with each instrument. Completing this course provides a significant advantage for anyone studying the sciences, especially those considering an AP or DP science course in the future.
