Intro to Writing Your Life Stories
SourcePoint 800 CHESHIRE RD DELAWARE, OH 43015 Organized by SourcePointAbout this event
Description
We're sorry, but this program is over. The last meeting was Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Sometimes we need a kick start into doing things we have wanted to do for some time. This two-part workshop will introduce various methods to get you started writing about your life or to document another person’s story. And YES, everyone has a story worth telling! We will discuss how you can get started, the various formats available, and whether to focus on one event as in a memoir or to do a chronological autobiography. We will also explore ways to record someone else’s story. Topics include: How to decide what to include and not include, how to organize the work, what is the goal of the writing and your style in laying out the details. There will be short writing exercises in class. Presented by Ty Lee, who holds a master's degree in journalism, and has a passion for family connections and storytelling. To register, click the Enroll Now button.
