Online scheduling begins mid-January at aarp.org/money/taxes/aarp_taxaide/.
Phone scheduling begins Jan. 15. Call 614-450-2529. Leave a message and someone will call you back. Please note, any messages received before Jan. 15 will be deleted. If you leave a voicemail, please don't continue to call. We will return your call as soon as possible.
You MUST bring the following items to your appointment:
- Government-issued photo ID such as a driver license or state ID card for you and your spouse
- Social Security card for every person listed on the tax return
- All 2023 tax documents such as W-2, SSA-1099, 1099-R, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, etc. (Beware - some documents may not arrive until after February 1, 2022)
- Your 2022 federal, Ohio and school district income tax returns
- A blank check if you want any refunds directly deposited to your bank account, it does not need to be voided and it needs to be a check, not a deposit slip (some banks put an internal number in for the routing number and is that is the case, you will not get the money direct deposited)
- If married, you AND your spouse must attend to participate and sign the returns
