Get excited about design thinking! Innovation Workshop provides experiences in programming, design, engineering and fabrication! Innovation Workshop will take place in Athenian’s world-class Carter Innovation Studio, and be led by Athenian Middle School innovation teacher Michael Meneghetti. This exciting course will give you the opportunity to use a variety of tools, including the 40 and 60 watt laser cutters. You will then learn to apply your technical, creative, and artistic skills to design, program, and build a variety of innovative projects including robots and helicopters, culminating with creating an animatronic character designed by you. All materials will be provided for your creative and innovative journey. This class is also open to students who have previously taken Innovation Workshop. Repeat students would be given exclusive opportunities to do more advanced projects using sensors, additional servo motors, and other cool add ons. These students would be able to design their own final project utilizing all of the cool resources the Carter Innovation Studio has to offer.
