Description

This class is for all the aspiring artists who love drawing and painting.
You will learn and improve on basic drawing skills and explore various techniques and media that will make your art beautiful! Age appropriate lessons help each student grow and develop their skills and creativity.
Students use a variety of media: Water-based Paints (Acrylic, Watercolor, and Tempera), Vine Charcoal, Oil and Chalk Pastels, Graphite, Color Pencil, Water-color Pencil, and Ink.
Students are introduced to artistic concepts such as shading, proportion, composition and basic color mixing. Advanced students pursue their individual artistic interests and learn more advanced techniques.
Some supplies provided, student must provide some supplies. Supply list available on this page for download (desktop device - on the top right; mobile device - scroll down) or email: Parks@culpepercounty.gov to request a copy.
***Each monthly session will have different art projects. The Instructor hopes to see returning students every month!***
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
-Class is held indoors in the Activity Room at Lenn Park pavilion
-Each participant / parent will answer a few health questions upon arrival at each class.
-Participants will be asked to wash their hand upon arrival.
-The instructor, Artists in Bloom, has requested that all participants wear a face mask during class.
-The instructor will wear a mask as well during class
-All participants will be seated at individual tables to maintain social distancing.
-Art supplies will not be sharable except between family members.
-Only those registered in the class may be inside the building during class, all others may either wait in their vehicle during class, or outside under the picnic shelter.
-Instructor will sanitize tables and chairs in between classes.
-Maximum number of students has been lowered to 6 per class.
