Description
Due to the heavy rain forecasted on Sunday, May 5, and the potentially muddy conditions of the trails, this hike will be rescheduled for Monday, May 13 at 5:30pm.Join a Park Ranger on a 5 mile hike through the trails of the Bacon Ridge Natural Area. This intermediate level hike will follow the rise and fall of the ridges and ravines at the headwaters of the South River. Hikers will explore the history of the farms, homes, and mills that covered this area over 100 years ago. Bring a bag lunch and snacks. Participants should meet at the Severn Chapel Road Parking Area. Ages 12+. A $5.00 registration fee covers program costs. Please register online.
