Underwater Egg Hunt 2024
Celebrate Easter 2024 at the Covington Aquatic Center! We are thrilled to bring back this family event; where we will sink over a thousand plastic eggs for swimmers to hunt during two, 1 hour-long sessions: 4-5pm & 6-7pm. Monitored kiddie pools will be on-deck for our smallest swimmers to hunt as well. Each egg contains a token to be returned to the Neptune’s Cove party room in exchange for prizes starting hallway through each event session (5pm, 7pm).
Special Event Rules
- All participants under 6 years old must have an adult in the water, within arm’s reach of them, who must purchase a ticket as well.
- Only pre-registered participants wearing their wrist band are allowed on the pool deck. All spectators must remain in the spectator area. If a child needs the be accompanied during the event, the guardian must purchase an admission ticket.
- The fins, snorkels, nets, or large inflatables are allowed in the water. Goggles are encouraged! If you’d like to check if your personal item will be allowed at this event, feel free to call us at 253-480-2480 or speak with us at the CAC front desk.
- All participants under age 15 must complete and pass a swim test to be allowed in the deep end without a lifejacket. Swim tests will begin 10 minutes prior to the start of the event (12:50pm or 3:20pm), so please arrive early!
- Upon check-in, participants will receive a cup to collect their tokens, which can be redeemed for prizes. Children are more than welcome to bring their own waterproof baskets to collect their prizes at the end; but these are not required.
- Swimmers will be asked to enter the water by slide-in entry only during the hunt. No jumping or diving will be allowed during this time to help us avoid dangerous head, neck, and spinal injuries.
- While our first priority is patron safety, no shoulder-riding or rough-play will be allowed anywhere inside the facility.
- Neptune’s Cove in the CAC party room will open for prize redemption 30 minutes into the event.
- After removing your tokens, empty, plastic eggshells should be placed into the collection bins placed around the pool deck.
