Description
Challenge yourself by climbing to the summit of 2058 foot tall Spencer Butte in Eugene. We will explore the main summit trail, which has recently been improved to make the trail more accessible, but the hike is still considered moderate to difficult, climbing 784 feet for two miles and includes some stairs. But the gorgeous 360-degree view at the top makes it worth the effort!
Directions: It is an hour drive from Corvallis to the Spencer Butte trailhead, so carpools will be arranged. If you prefer to meet up in Eugene, directions to the trailhead will be provided.

Be prepared! Please be sure you have the following. Registrants that are not prepared may not be able to participate due to safety.
Required:
Shoes made for walking or hiking. Flip flops or other shoes that pose a tripping hazard are not suitable.
Water bottle. Please bring your own water bottle to be sure you are safely hydrated.
Comfortable clothing that will not get caught on branches or wildlife
Things that might be good to have:
Snack bar or other pocket snack
Hat /Visor
Sunglasses
Sunscreen applied before joining
