Welcome to the Spring 2024 MORE Program! The highly-successful format built around 60 two-hour class slots continues in two segments: April 1-19 and, after a week-long break, April 29 – May 17. Ten class slots are taken up with five separate events away from the College to break from routine – including a repeat of the acclaimed butterfly hike at Stony Creek Metropark! Other events include a visit to the Michigan Military Technology History Museum, a private tour of Stahl’s Automotive Museum, a day of activities at the Anton Art Center, and wine-tasting classes at the popular Filipo Marc Winery! Traditional classes embrace 11 genres ranging from local history to literature. Over half of these are new, with another 32% revised in content, making almost 90% of the catalog refreshed – only about 10% is carried over without change. These items are repeated simply because they have enduring popularity, good examples being Chair Yoga, Estate Planning, and Medicare. New first-time classes include such diverse topics as China-Taiwan, Electric Vehicle Transition, Judaisim, and a Tour of Mayan History. Truly there is something for everyone in the MORE Spring Program! Signing up is easy using the on-line system. MORE is a subscription service, meaning that classes are offered in packages as shown below: • Four class slots for $44 – this is a special package for first time Attendees only;* • Eight class slots for $64; • 12 class slots for $90; • 16 class slots for $112. *The four-class package may be selected by late returning established Attendees beginning April 20. For those wishing to take a large number of classes, packages may be combined, e.g., 8+16 for 24.
