Clay Creations - Grades 4-12 Ceramics Creations - Grades 4 and up (limited to 8 students) Get ready to get your hands dirty. Ceramics classes are a great way to introduce three-dimensional art to students of any age. All are welcome! Whether they have yet to work with clay, have some experience, or are advanced in ceramics. Projects will be adjusted based on the student’s experience with clay and interests. Clay is an infinitely versatile medium that allows students to explore their creativity while developing hand-eye coordination. In this class, students will experience the entire ceramic-making process, from building the object using wet clay, drying it, firing, glazing, and taking home the fruits of their labor. They will create pottery and sculpture using hand-building techniques such as pinch, coil, slab, mold, or multiple methods. And they will experiment with glazing by exploring texture, patterns, and transparencies. Class meets Mondays from 3:05-4:05 in Ms Bloch's room. Any Lower or Middle School children not picked up by 4:05pm will be sent to ABC and charged accordingly. Please note this class runs through Project Week and Spring Break so classes will run into April.
