About this event
Participants learn the basics about fishing and enjoy a day of angling on the banks of the Rivanna River. Topics covered include: different fishing techniques, fishing line knots, reading the river, fish habitat, fishing safety, fish ID, and lures/baits. Participants provide their own fishing poles/reels so they can learn to use their personal gear and be provided with guidance about how to perfect their set up for the types of fishing they aim to do in the future. This workshop runs from 9 am to 3 pm. Bait, hooks, and floats will be provided.
