Description
Join a Park Ranger on a birding adventure along the Carson River! Whether you are an avid birder, or an outdoor enthusiast interested in local bird species, this hike will be an exciting experience for the whole family. We recommend bringing water, snacks, binoculars, or scope.
The trail is considered "easy" according the IMBA Trail Rating System. Expect flat terrain and minimal obstacles for about 2 miles.

Need to Know: - Online registration is required- Dress appropriate for the weather. Close toed shoes required- Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult- No dogs allowed, as they might scare away the birds- If you or a family member needs it, Park Rangers has one GRIT Freedom all-terrain wheelchair available. If you'd like to request to use this wheelchair during our program, email parkrangers@carson.org. This request is on a first come first serve basis.
