About this event

DATES: Apr 11, 18, 25, May 2 Instructor: Isa Rodrigues Are you novice weaver and are ready for the next step? This is the right follow-up class. In this class, students will continue their knowledge of weaving techniques, further exploring woven design options, through experimenting with color and texture. Students will dress their own loom, learn proper technique for painting their warp and weft with dyes and inks to create imagery or pattern for their woven cloth, and other weaving techniques such as tapestry and pile weaving. Depending on the complexity of the weaving project, students may need to come in for Open Studio time outside of class in order to leave with a finished piece. Pre-requisites: Weaving 101, or equivalent weaving experience -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. 4 Week students have access to Open Studio time for free during the class weeks and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
