Dates: May 11, 12 Instructor: José Picayo Have you already taken Weaving 101 and want to know more? This intermediate course will focus on weaving theory and drafts on 18" wide, 4 harness looms. Students will go in depth with complex draft reading. Students should have enough knowledge of weaving that they can design their own weaving project with the help of their instructor using more complete weave structures. Depending on the complexity of the weaving project, students may need to come in for Open Studio time outside of class in order to leave with a finished piece. Pre-requisite: Weaving 101 or equivalent experience. -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. Weekend Intensive students have access to Open Studio time for free during the class and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
