Sewing 202: Pattern Making (4 Week)

Brooklyn Studio • 505 Carroll St BrooklynNY  11215 Organized by Textile Arts Center

About this event

Dates: Jun 2, 9, 16, 23 Instructor: Reb Ayşe Geduk Do you know the basics of draping and construction? Now it's time for the next step. In this 12 hour class, students will learn how to draft a basic one-dart skirt sloper - a wardrobe essential - using your own measurements. Students will sew a mock-up of their design in muslin and learn how to make fit adjustments. The instructor will also cover how to create an A-line skirt pattern variation based on your original sloper. -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. 4 Week students have access to Open Studio time for free during the class and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
