Exploration in Color and Drawing

Instructor: Kristin Beth Powers (she/her) • Brookline Arts Center 86 Monmouth Street BrooklineMA  02446 Organized by Brookline Arts Center

About this event

10 Weeks Color is one of the most powerful, and complex, tools that artists and designers can use to influence emotions and connect with audiences. Explore the role of light, the theory of color and its psychological impact, and how to use hue, value, and intensity to skillfully integrate color into your drawings. Combine drawing skills across nature, still life, figurative, and imaginative assignments that emphasize an expressive use of color through pencil, pastel, charcoal, and watercolor. Enjoy learning about the use of color in contemporary art and finding your own unique style as we explore the two-dimensional world of drawing and color combined. Registration closes July 9
