Snowshoeing Winter Survival Challenge!
Mount Seymour's most exciting program! Learn essential winter safety and survival skills in this hands-on program. Working in teams, problem solve your way through a survival scenario using only the supplies provided in your survival pack. Challenge yourself with shelter-building, melting snow, orientation, fire building, and other skill-testing activities.
Campers will travel to and from Mount Seymour via luxury chartered bus service.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Waterproof footwear (hiking or winter boots)
- Warm, non-cotton layers
- Waterproof outerwear (jacket, pants)
- Gloves and warm hat
- Extra layers, dry socks
- Scarf or face buff
- Large lunch
- Snacks
- Water
Necessary winter gear is mandatory. Please contact BICR if you do not have access to any of these items.
*DROP OFF AT 8:15AM AT THE LIBRARY, PICKUP FROM LIBRARY OFF 3:30PM FERRY*
We require a minimum of 16 campers to run this program.
