Join Mackintosh Farmers, Jim and Brenda, for an unforgettable week of exploring, learning, and creating! Through hands-on learning, your child will connect with nature and its food system while learning to care for the Earth and the plants and animals we share it with. Your child will build friendships, develop confidence, and have tons of fun! Each day will begin with a focus on learning about and working on the farm systems that we have here at Mackintosh. This might be transplanting baby plants into our growing farm plots, propagating currants and elderberries, harvesting early season crops, moving the chicken flock to new pasture, or mulching our new orchard rows. We will then create craft projects using natural materials, play games, and explore the wilder areas of our 23 acre campus. At the end of the week, each camper will have a treasure trove of edible plants to tend or plant out at their own home.
