THIS PROGRAM IS FOR STUDENTS IN THE TRAILBLAZERS CLUB ONLY What you'll be doing: Learn how to belay, tie knots, receive climbing tips, and try out some climbs on real rock. We will be climbing at Holloway which has a variety of climbing difficulties; this trip is open to beginners and experts, alike. Every skill level is welcome and encouraged to join. All activities will be "Challenge by Choice" which means that if at any point a student is uncomfortable with what an activity is asking them to do, they will have the option to opt out and participate in a different way. Climbing is a great way to spend time in the outdoors and to challenge yourself. Though climbing is an inherently risky activity, Mountain Alliance staff will take every step possible to ensure that risks are minimized and that students have an enjoyable outing. What to bring: - CLOSED toe shoes - Comfortable clothes for climbing in (some type of athletic wear is recommended) - Water bottles - LUNCH (or a heavy snack) - Day bag - Layers (depending on weather) - Mountain Alliance will provide all climbing gear
