Virtual Private Beginner Chess Class 5 Virtual Private Coaching Sessions with The Duke of Chess Private one-on-one coaching is available by The Duke of Chess which provides the following options for parents to join the fun from 8:15-9:15 AM PST for 5 engaging chess lessons; Plus 5 Weekly Sunday Chess Tutors Tournaments from 2:30-3:30 PM. Class will be offered on Saturday's primarily but we can find other days to fill in the gap date until all 5 classes are offered. Our private tutoring will be tailored to the specific needs, goals, learning capacity, and temperament of your child. Such a personalized curriculum and consideration provide the attention that in some cases is prohibitive in large group settings. Within the private setting, the student’s learning capabilities is therefore accelerated. CHESS LIFE STRATEGIES™ Through the game of chess, students confront issues of “risk versus reward,” recovering from mistakes & miscalculations” and “maintaining one’s composure on a constantly changing battlefield.” Taught properly with our emphases, chess can provide a formidable life-skills preparation regimen. We contend that a child may confront as many critical decisions in a single chess game as they may face in the course of an entire month in the real world. We consistently highlight the parallels of student’s choices on the board with their choices in life. In this way, the fundamental lessons we teach provide students an opportunity to glean from their setbacks and triumphs on the chessboard all while promoting improvement and transformation in their decision-making and character in the real world.Sessions
