About this event

Description

Painting: Fundamentals of Watercolor — Introduction Part 2
Instructor: Diane Roach Smith

Watercolor is a beautiful media to study! This
introductory class is perfect for people who want
to learn to paint with watercolor. If you have played
with watercolor (or not) and want to learn more
about it from a watercolor artist/instructor, this
class is for you. Through exercises, projects and instructor
demonstrations, students will learn about:

• Professional grade watercolor paint; properties,
values and color mixing.
• Professional grade watercolor paper; how to
stretch the paper and how the stretched paper
enhances a painting.
• The cycle of creating a watercolor painting from
beginning to end.
A class field trip may take place during the semester
for one class meeting date.
(Students that have taken my intro class are
urged to take this class next.)
