About this event
Part II of the course will continue in the study of music theory and will include triads, scales, major and minor, primary and secondary triads, augmented and diminished chords, and how these will work together to make a beautiful composition. More complex compositions will be written during part II of this course. This section of Music Theory and Composition will also equip students with the knowledge to improvise, successfully play using lead sheets, and "play by ear". Keyboard: A piano keyboard (any type) is recommended. Because the theory text uses the keyboard as an example for teaching concepts, access to a keyboard is important. Virtual keyboards are available online if the student does not have access to an actual keyboard.
