About this event
Artechnē is a foundational course: ‘how to make’ artist materials of various natural color mediums for painting and drawing, including their relationships with tools, binders and surfaces. The course will teach you how to extract color from mineral and botanical based materials gained by the foundations of learning through observational and experimental studies from sensory knowledge and time. The beauty of this foundational course is open to all levels of experience as it will open a gateway of knowledge one can venture further into other mediums, materiality, sourcing and meaningful practices in your artwork and everyday lives.
