About this event
In this 7-week embroidery course students will learn the basics for creating portraits using thread on linen. The course will begin with an image chosen by the instructor to introduce basic materials and design choices. Students will then build and stitch portraits of their own while experimenting with a variety of materials and techniques. Beginners are welcome. No class 3/29/2024, and 5/3/2024 Materials Fee: $20 to instructor, includes: A project folder A set of needles in a needlebook Linen Transfer materials Instructional handouts Printed samplers to practice techniques Threads to match each technique Required Materials: Pencil Small sharp scissors for snipping cloth and embroidery thread Snack/Water
