Students will learn about the world of aviation while being led by current professionals in the aeronautics field. Students will experience flight simulators, drones, computer-aided drafting, aviation maintenance, machining, student/professional panel, guest speakers, and an optional flight in the cockpit of a real plane. Camp runs Thursday and Friday, July 11 and 12, 9am to 4pm, at Belleville SWIC Campus, 2500 Carlyle Ave, and Saturday, July 13, 8am to 12noon, at St. Louis Downtown Airport, 6100 Archview Drive, Cahokia. Please note: On the third day, the starting and ending times, as well as location, is different from the first two days. Students must have their own transportation to/from camp each day and commit to attending all three days in full.
