Free Texas DPS license to carry course for school staff: Crosshairs Texas is offering the opportunity for anyone who works at a school to attend our June 7th License to Carry Classroom Only for FREE. Space is limited to 18 individuals. PREREQUISITE: *Submit school credentials to Crosshairs Tx *Meet DPS Eligibility requirements *Be proficient with a handgun *Pass our Pre-Test with 90% To attend, register using this website and then scan and email, or stop in the store to submit a copy of your ID and/or statement of employment from the school you work for. This step MUST be completed within 5 business days of your registration. Failure to do so will result in you losing your spot in the class. Course Description: This course is specifically designed to meet the Texas DPS minimum requirements and will teach the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense. Crosshairs Texas course gives students direct instruction on firearm safety, pistol nomenclature, selecting a pistol for self defense, basic defensive pistol skills, picking a holster and loading & stoppage remediation. DPS written test will be conducted at the end with a 70% or higher score, will receive a DPS certificate of classroom completion. The DPS application is $42.95, Fingerprints are $10 -.Class include the DPS & NRA instruction, hands-on training and facilitating the entire LTC process.
