CLWII “Waves” Swim Team 2024
Season Info
Practice begins June 3 and is held Monday-Friday through July 12. Kids 10 and under practice at 8am, and kids 11 and older practice at 9am.
Every swimmer must be able to swim across the length of the pool unassisted.
We always have a lifeguard certified head coach and assistant coach. We also have several of our older swimmers who volunteer to help with the younger swimmers at the early practice.
Swim meets are on Monday nights at various neighborhood pools. Warm- ups for the meets start at 5:30 and the meet begins promptly at 6pm. We recommend arriving at 5:15. Addresses and pool info for the meets will be emailed weekly.
We require that one adult from each family volunteer at 3 swim meets. There are various jobs to volunteer for and it is vital to have volunteers for the meets to run smoothly. If you are not able to volunteer, you may do a “buy-out” for $150. That is $50/meet. If you sign up but do not fulfill your volunteer requirement, you will be charged $50 for that meet. The volunteer sign up form will be emailed before the season begins.
The registration fee is $120 per swimmer. There is a $40 discount per sibling. This must be paid before your swimmer begins practice. Registration opens late March through the end of the first week of practice.
Our team suits can be purchased at B&B Aquatics at 1163 Colonnade Center in Des Peres. If you would rather find a suit on your own, any plain black competitive suit is fine. Team suits will be worn at every meet.
