EXPERIENCES WITH FUSED GLASS/ Martha DownerWednesdays from 5 PM - 8 PM
Apr 3 - May 1 4 weeks *NO CLASS 4/10
The course is designed as a hands-on practical experience with fused glass and will cover all aspects of studio health & safety, types of glass used, cutting & breaking glass, cleaning & preparing glass, using and making glass dots, assembling pieces for kiln firing, kiln basics, types of firing, and more!
At the end of the course, you will have completed 6-7 more involved fused glass projects which will be fired. There will be specific projects and we will begin to work in three dimensions, with the final project being a self-guided project.
Close-toed shoes are a requirement for this class, you must cover and protect your feet. No previous glass handling is required. If you have experience, projects will be more involved and detailed.
Supplies required: Elmer's Glue and Loctite Super Glue
