Ready to take the exciting first steps in abstract acrylic painting? This comprehensive 2 day beginner’s class, esteemed artist Pamela Jameson walks you through the basics, from choosing a palette and paint to fundamental techniques such as color mixing, layering and more. Day 1 you will practice your new skills with simple exercises and experimentation. Day 2 you will choose your style of painting and color palette to complete your first abstract painting. With Pamela’s step-by-step guidance, you’ll be confidently loving abstract painting in no time! Day 1: Students experiment with various tools to apply paint, base coloring with layers, color mixing techniques, mediums and mark making as an expressive outlet for their creativity. Day 2: Students choose their abstract style and color palette for final canvas. Continue to experiment, explore and expand your painting process while applying your newly acquired abstract painting skills and knowledge.
