#33. Birding Whittlesey Creek National Wildlife Refuge (FT-1) 9:00 am – 11:30 am Whittlesey Creek National Wildlife Refuge welcomes you to a little refuge with a big impact. The refuge hosts many terrestrial species as well as a spawning stream for coaster brook trout and other migratory fish from Lake Superior. Take a slow, fully- accessible birding walk along the Coaster Classroom trail with US Fish and Wildlife Service staff to look for birds and discuss their food and habitat needs.
