This will be a day trip to Armstrong, leaving Kamloops at 11:30 am and returning approximately 6:00 pm. We begin at Farmstrong, a family run cidery & farm to table restaurant on a heritage farm (1896). Lunch is available to purchase (or bring your own to eat off site) and will be followed by a tour of the facility. Next is an optional stop at a nearby asparagus farm where you can purchase freshly picked asparagus. The final stop is at Fieldstone Organics, begun by a group of organic farmers who wanted to add crop diversity by growing and harvesting ancient grains. They now grow, buy and clean over 25 different crops ranging from wheat and ancient grains, to seeds and legumes. We will leave from Valleyview Square Shopping mall, meet in front of Shoppers Drug Mart.
